YOUNITY

About

The Younity Mural Project brought people together in February 2024 for a series of workshops focused on hope, unity, and mental well-being.

Through these workshops, a vibrant mural was born! Now proudly displayed in Newcastle upon Tyne's city centre, it serves as a celebration of community and hope.

The mural itself takes the form of four large banners showcased at the Grainger Market Arcade since May 10th, 2024.

Here's what made this project special:

  • Everyone was an artist! Participants weren't just contributors, they were co-artists who played a vital role in shaping the final mural.

  • Guided creativity: Artist Sofia Barton carefully brought everyone's ideas together into the final design.

  • Open and accessible: Free workshops with materials, drinks, and snacks provided! Plus, Lindsay Nicholson facilitated specialized workshops in various locations for a relaxed and inclusive environment.

It's a beautiful display of community spirit!
